AXN
has announced that its movie of the month is the Oscar nominated
Shadow of the Vampire. The film airs on 28 July at
9 pm.
The
film is set in 1921 in Eastern Europe. John Malkovich plays
a film director, F W Murnau, whose latest project involves
Nosferatu. In order to make his project real and achieve
immortal fame for his craft, he hires actor Max Schreck
played by Willem Dafoe.
The rub is that Schreck is a vampire in real life and so
Malkovich has promised Schreck that he can drink the blood
of his leading lady once shooting is completed.
