It hasturned an activity as innocuous as hiring fresh talent
into the programming event of the year.
Apart from promotions and innovative marketing and special
programming around the event, MTV has now decided to telecast
the final round of its much hyped VJ Hunt 2002 on
the channel on Friday at 8 pm. The show will be repeated
on Saturday at 5 pm and again on Sunday at 1 pm and on 31
July at 11.30 am.
The show has 14 spunky finalists slugging it out for the
final selection in a boxing ring with MTV veejays
Cyrus Broacha, Nikhil, Cyrus Sahukar, Mini and Nafisa acting
as the referees. The event culminates amid strobe lights,
music, confetti and cheering crowds as the 'pancake induction
ceremony' for winners Anusha, Vivan, Ramona, Aditya and
Sophia is caught on camera for viewers in an one hour special
that has been titled the MTV VJ Hunt 2002 Finals. Performances
by Adnan Sami, Anamika, Shaan and Euphoria mark the event.
