This
month popular Canadian rocker Alanis Morissette will host
CNN’s weekly music programme The Music Room. The
half hour programme will feature Morcheeba and footage from
their recent Union Chapel gig in London, world music legend
Baaba Maal and Morissette herself (interviewed by her fellow
Canadian rockers Nickelback).
Morissette, whose album Jagged Little Pill sold 15
million copies is the first of numerous high profile artists
who will present the show to more than 200 countries around
the world, says an official release.
In the interview section, Morissette discusses the inspirations
behind the songs on her latest album Under Rug Swept.
She talks about musicians who have influenced the direction
of her career as well as how she has evolved as a singer
songwriter over the years.
The show airs on 5 July at 7 pm with repeats on 6 July at
11 am and 7 July at 7 pm.
