Set
Max has announced a Dev Anand Film Festival that will air
from 15 July to 19 July and from 22 July to 26 July at 1
pm each day.
According to an official release, the festival is part of
the channels' Ek Se Badh Kar Ek afternoon film festival
series. Dev Anand, who started his film career with Ashok
Kumar's Ziddi in 1946, achieved star status with 'Baazi'
in 1951.
The channel has also announced a series of films featuring
the "Bade Miya Chhote Miya" duo of Amitabh Bachchan
and Govinda. The films will air on 18 and 19 July and 25
and 26
July at 9 pm. Viewers can watch the
Big B play a secret agent in The Great Gambler and
the title role in Don. Govinda meanwhile will have
audiences in splits playing a coolie in Coolie No. 1.
