(Posted on 12 February 2002 5:40 pm)

Blind Love, Monster Love

And now a toon channel wants to jump onto the Valentine bandwagon too.

Nickelodeon has announced a range of shows on 14 February during the toon prime time band of 4 to 8 pm.

Aahhh!! Real Monsters will feature Ickis falling head over heels over hook nosed Judy from a street corner Punch and Judy show, without realising she is a puppet. Rocko's Modern Life has Spunky developing an unhealthy crush on Rocko's mop, while Rocko falls for his new mail carrier. In the Offbeat Valentine's Special, Tommy falls for one of the Populars, Beth and portrays their effort to overcome the social constrictions and finding a way into each other's hearts.

Arnold's Valentine

Arnold's Valentine is slightly better, with Valentine's dinner lined up with both Ruth and Helga, with none of them aware who they are dining with. In Rugrats, Angelica gets a crush on a new four year old boy in the neighbourhood, gets heartbroken when the boy moves away, but recovers quickly when a new little French boy moves in.

Rugrats

Kenan and Kel battle it out with a new girl in school who's believed to be a witch, while the Adventures of Pete & Pete too battle with crisis in the love zone. Clarissa too goes through the throes of dating and developing crushes which are yet to stand the test of time.
