HBO the film channel which claims to be simply the best is not about to let rivals like Star Movies grow grass under its feet on 14 Feb. An official release states that the channel will have 11 movies on that day all of which deal with the theme of being in love in one way or the other. The programming brand is called HBO Valentine’s Day Marathon.

Fools rush in with Salma Hayek and Mathew Perry tackles the issue of whether a one night stand can lead to a fruitful relationship. Claire Danes, Peter Gallagher and Michelle Pfeiffer star in the romantic emotional drama To Gillian on her 37th birthday. Richard Gere confirms his status as a romantic lead with Autumn in New York. He plays a New York restauranteur and aging playboy who falls for a sweet, but terminally ill, young woman. Fresh-out-of-jail short-order cook Al Pacino meets waitress Michelle Pfeiffer in Frankie And Johnny.

These are just some of the films that will be showcased as aprt of the Valentine's day line-up.
