Midway through the 'Thrashes' series which has so far seen Australia
give the 'Pommies' the hiding of their lives, an ODI triangular
kicks off from Friday. Sri Lanka is the third team in the fray.
The triangular VB Series played between 13 December 2002
and 27 January 2003 will be telecast 'live' on ESPN and Star Sports.
Viewers can watch this series, billed as an important warm up to
the 2003 World Cup.
The Australians have yet again opted not to include Steve Waugh..
England would certainly be looking at making amends for their performance
during the NatWest Series which India won. Sri Lanka have
been strengthening their bowling with new fast bowlers like Hashantha
Fernando and Dilhara Fernando; but would also bank of the experience
of seasoned campaigners like Marvan Atapattu and Sanath Jayasuriya.
