Star world will be telecasting The Miss World Beauty Pageant live on 7 December at 7:30 pm.

Over 80 women from across the globe, including Femina Miss India-World 2002, Shruti Sharma will compete for the beauty title. The pageant is being held in London.

After the initial win in 1966 with Rita Faria, India has taken the crown for four years - Aishwarya Rai in 1994, Diana Hayden in 1997, Yukta Mookhey in 1999 and Priyanka Chopra in 2000.

Shruti, a Mussouri girl, who did her schooling from Jesus & Mary College Delhi, worked very hard for the title.

While the countdown has begun, Shruti's elaborate preparations include outfits designed by Ritu Kumar, Hemant Trevedi and Ashley Rebello.
