From Top Secret Beaches, to the World's Sexiest Destinations
for Couples and scintillating action from the legendary Bruce
Lee - Discovery Channel brings The Best of Discovery
in a Year-end special. Seven of the most popular programmes of 2002
will be aired during this special screening.
Speaking on how the channel fared this year MD Discovery Deepak
Shourie said: "We introduced a time band strategy, in which
the programmes were aired at the time that viewers were most likely
to watch them. Day parts were branded as Sunrise, Women's
hour, Action zone, Family Time and Late Night
Discovery. Catering to interests of the audience groups, we
launched exclusive programmes throughout the year. These changes
have given us overwhelming response."
Commenting on the year-end special screening, he added: "Celebrating
a year full of thought provoking and mind boggling programming,
Discovery Channel, in a special screening brings to you the programmes
that were top of viewership charts for the year 2002."
The Best of Discovery starts with the Mysteries of Asia,
a programme that provides panoramic views and rare access to the
greatest temples in India. Viewers can get an insight into the majestic
life of the undisputed king of the jungles in Kenya, Africa with
Lion Queen.
The Greatest Martial Artist - Bruce Lee: Viewers can get
a rare personal insight into the life and legend of Bruce Lee -
a spectacular fighter and an incredible human being. Through rare
archival footage and personal interviews of those who knew him best,
the show narrates the story of this incredible man.
From the tribute to a legend to the exotic destinations, discover
the great ways of spending time together in World's Sexiest Destinations
for Couples. These exquisite, international romantic getaways
were made popular by emperors, writers and princes who romanced
women across Hawaii, Paris, Bali and Capri.

secrets of 'the US Air Force's next long-range heavy bombers, which
have the ability to strike targets anywhere in the world - within

Moving back in time, Discovery takes viewers to the ancient civilisations
of Egypt and Rome through a programme - Hidden History of Rome.
The programme recreates the history of those times through a fictitious
citizen and fashions a new understanding of the culture stretching
