BBC World has announced that it will telecast the finals for the fifth series of its quiz show – Mastermind India. The channel will telecast the finals of Mastermind India on; 2 January at 10 pm, with a repeat telecast on 5 January at 10 am and 10 pm.

The fifth series of Mastermind India culminates at the Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, an exclusive heritage location. The finalists will pit their nerves and intellect against the rapid-fire questions from quiz show maestro Siddhartha Basu.

Mastermind India, the Indian incarnation of Mastermind- the most respected television quiz show in the world, is shown on BBC World since1998.

Contestants for this edition include a civil servant from Kolkata, his city- mate who is a finance expert, a software engineer from Pune and a credit analyst from Mumbai.
