Doordarshan Sports channel will telecast live a cricket match between the DD team and Lagaan's British cast that will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi on 30 December 2002. The match will be shown from 10 am on, according to a Prasar Bharati release.

I&B minister Sushma Swaraj is expected to grace the occasion as the chief guest. In view of the proposed match, programmes scheduled earlier on this time slot on DD-Sports have been cancelled, says the release.
