This week CNN's Talk Asia looks at what inspires ice skating
champion Michelle Kwan. Interviewed in Hong Kong, Kwan tells the
host Lorraine Hahn how her career has evolved on and off the ice.
She also describes her skating schedule for next year and talks
about her family, her new coach and trainer.
Widely considered one of the best American figure skaters of all
time, the 22 year-old Asian American has won two Olympic medals,
four World Championships, and six US Championships. She burst onto
the scene in 1996 when she won her first World Championship at the
age of 15.
During her interview, Kwan also discusses how she is preparing
to accomplish the next goal in her stellar career, the US National
Championships in January 2003 and details her interest in learning
more about her Chinese heritage.
The show airs on 21 December at 8 pm with repeats on 22 December
at 6 am and 5 pm and on 23 December at 9 am and 7 pm IST.
