Action oriented AXN has announced that it will air Charlie's
Angels with the high flying female trio of Drew Barymore, Cameron
Diaz and Lucy Liu on 22 December at 9 pm.
Speaking on the programme initiative, assistant vice president
SET Rohit Bhandari said, "Action movies have become exceptionally
popular among movie lovers around the world today and the stupendous
run of Charlie's Angels proves the popularity of action movies
in this day and age. Movies like Charlie's Angels which fit
into the action genre are just the kind of entertainment, we, at
AXN consistently strive to provide our viewers with."
The film revolves around three female protagonists: Natalie, Dylan
and Alex who work with Charlie and his assistant, Bosley. Charlie's
team of dectectives, known as Charlie's Angels, try to track down
a kidnapped computer ace named Eric Knox. Knox, the founder of Knox
Technologies, has designed a voice-identification software program
that works more accurately than fingerprinting techniques - a scientific
breakthrough that would mean disaster in the wrong hands. Following
Knox's disappearance, Knox Technologies President Vivian Wood played
by Kelly Lynch hires Charlie's Angels to track down the missing
computer whiz. The Angels have a strong hunch that Knox's rival,
Roger Corwin (Tim Curry) of Red Star Systems may be behind the kidnap.
However, while undercover, Dylan discovers a secret that puts her
colleagues in danger once again. The action film consists of some
slick action scenes and well-directed sequences.
