Star
Movies, the film channel from the Star stable, has lined
up five blockbuster hits for telecast on 15 August, Independence
Day.

Enemy
of the State at 2 pm starring Will Smith, Gene Hackman
and Jon Voight has Voight as a rogue government agent out
to recover information that may implicate him in the death
of a US Congressman. His only chance for survival is to
enlist the help of a reluctant, retired spymaster (Hackman).
At 4.30 pm, Jumanji, starring Robin Williams and
Kirsten Dunst, has a mysterious board game enveloping the
participants in a frantic race for survival.
Spielberg's classic Jurassic Park follows at 6.30
pm, bringing dinosaurs to life in a dangerous, new world.
Prime time 9 pm has Mighty Joe Young, starring Bill
Paxton and Charlize Theron, tracing the discovery and subsequent
quest for protection of a 15 foot tall mutant gorilla named
Joe.
The late night slot at 11.15 pm has The Mexican,
starring Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and James Gandolfini in
a comedy caper.
