Star Movies celebrates Independence Day with spate of hits

Star Movies, the film channel from the Star stable, has lined up five blockbuster hits for telecast on 15 August, Independence Day.

Enemy of the State at 2 pm starring Will Smith, Gene Hackman and Jon Voight has Voight as a rogue government agent out to recover information that may implicate him in the death of a US Congressman. His only chance for survival is to enlist the help of a reluctant, retired spymaster (Hackman). At 4.30 pm, Jumanji, starring Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst, has a mysterious board game enveloping the participants in a frantic race for survival.

Spielberg's classic Jurassic Park follows at 6.30 pm, bringing dinosaurs to life in a dangerous, new world. Prime time 9 pm has Mighty Joe Young, starring Bill Paxton and Charlize Theron, tracing the discovery and subsequent quest for protection of a 15 foot tall mutant gorilla named Joe.

The late night slot at 11.15 pm has The Mexican, starring Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and James Gandolfini in a comedy caper.
