distribution and generation, reforms in most Indian states,
increase in residential tariffs. The Industry Vector
on power will focus on issues of privatization, FDI
in the power sector, power subsidy for agriculture, transmission

commercial viability, among other critical issues. Current
developments such as project based financing that includes
corporatization of SEB's and on controversial ground issues
related to 100% metering versus social considerations, use
of budgetary outlays, the Accelerated Power Development
Reform Programme would be some additional concerns discussed
in depth.
This
powerful & interactive discussion would focus on tangible
points of action in order to conclude with a definitive
direction for the power sector in India, the release concludes.
