Star Sports will bring live coverage of the final Grand
Slam of the year, the US Open Tennis Championships from
Monday.
The tournament that will give away a record US$16.174 million
in prize money, proved to be a hugely successful affair
last year attracting a record 639,343 spectators. Celebrities
such as Paul McCartney, Bruce Willis and Puff Daddy looked
on. The event culminates on 8 September.
Viewers
can check whether the Williams sisters will continue to
make Grand Slam events a family affair. Wimbledon champion
Lleyton Hewitt is the favourite to defend his title from
the likes of former US Open champions Marat Safin, Pete
Sampras and last years semi finalist Yevgeny Kafelnikov.
