AXN features record breakers every Wednesday

(Posted on 6 April 2002, 2.50 pm)

AXN continues its action oriented programming strategy with Guinness World Records every Wednesday at 9 PM

Guinness World Records:Primetime brings the most amazing records set around the world. Ranging from the amazing to the bizarre, the show features extraordinarily talented people strive to become recognised for feats no one else has accomplished

The series features amazing stunts, ordinary milestones and people who break records for being outstanding in their own right, like the shortest twins and the tallest man in the world. Trivia questions are also posted each week, challenging viewers to test their Guinness general knowledge.

The show is a reality series based on the world-renowned Guinness World Records. The book was first published in 1955 and was an immediate success, becoming Britain's number one bestseller. The TV show's one-hour episodes include multiple challenging and breathtaking events during which people go to extremes to either break an existing record or create new ones.

Host Mark Thompson introduces some of the record breaking attempts before a studio audience. Other attempts are shown through a video for geographical and logistical reasons.
