Bangla News will be organising comprehensive coverage of the forthcoming
assembly elections in West Bengal to be held in May. Programming
has been divided into two phases - pre-election and results day
with a close look at the post election scenario.
The pre-election coverage has been segmented into:

least 4 panelists and an anchor. The show will go to the district
centres to seek people's opinions. The panelists will answer any
questions live.
On weekdays two key candidates will face each other in a set
which will look like a boxing ring. The audience will also be
allowed to participate in a proactive rather than a passive manner.
Weekend Specials on Saturdays and Sundays which will include
road shows, and journalists following the campaign, a close look
at the mood Kolkota, a report card of other constituencies as
well as the candidates involved.
Results day will be a 15-hour show covering the whole of counting
day. It will be highly interactive with the district centres creating
live contact with the electorate. There will be a live update
of results through Graphics automation.
