This is
the time when fresh faces get to showcase their talents on
a bigger platform. Zee Music's VJ hunt-- Kkalpes Patel
VJ Banega Kya, is one such opportunity for aspiring VJs.
Passionate
about talking, the three finalists from Mumbai, impressed
the judges with their presence of mind and ready wit. Aneesha,
an upcoming actress, has worked in serials like Kabhi Haan
Kabhi Naa, Dekho Magar Pyar Se and Kalcchakra. In
its search for new faces, the channel has conducted auditions
for aspiring VJs in Bangalore, Kolkata and New Delhi. The
last leg of the auditions of the preliminary round were conducted
in sub-urban Mumbai today.

Sixteen
finalists, four from each city, will be brought to Mumbai
and will host Suniyore, a dial-in show on Zee Music.
The wit and humour, an integral part of the hunt, was present
in full force among young Mumbaikars, who were present in
large numbers for the audition. The main aim of the contestants
was to take the limelight away from Kkalpes Patel, the mascot
of the show, who tried to distract the participants.
"The
tremendous response we have received to the VJ hunt is a clear
indication that the youngsters these days are very focused.
They know what they want to achieve and are passionate about
it", says Bharat Ranga, Business Head, Zee Music.
Finally,
five lucky contestants will be selected as VJs for Zee Music,
by viewers who will vote for their favourite contestant. The
timing of the launch of the show in March seems to be perfect
as Indians would have found their "Idol" by then. The
best part of all this is perhaps the fact that viewers will
get to play God yet again!
