Dressed for Versace!

Star One turns to Versace this time round to bring in the high end viewer. Lakme Fashion House a reality show that's out to dig out designer talent from the country, goes on air from 19 February on weekends at primetime.

A format show, Fashion House is currently set up in a series of cosy villas at Madh Island, just off Mumbai city. Within, it's as comfy and trendy as can be. Chic décor, interesting lighting and all the trappings of modern city life - for the 16 finalists who will spend the next few months here, trying to outdo each other in coming up with the winning design - the designer outfit that fetches the winner an internship at the Versace house in Milan, apart from a worldwide merchandising deal for the production and distribution of the winning outfit under the brand name 'Versus'.

At Madh, the scene's one of organized chaos. For six months, the place is being worked upon, with cameras installed in

each room to monitor each of the 16 participants for the seven weeks ahead - all to ensure that competitors don't cheat, copy or take tips or help from each other in the run up to the winning post!

Chosen from four cities across the country, one of the 16 finalists will be eliminated every week. Donatella Versace will grace the final episode to judge the ultimate winner. Among the Bollwyood and cricket celebs the channel plans to rope in, is supermodel Naomi Campbell, say channel.

For the present, the participants are acclimatizing to Mumbai via Mumbai Darshan trips and sightseeing. Till they get down to the serious business of designing.
