Disgruntled
Ashiesh Roy walks out of 'Adaa'
Sahara One's Adaa
which started just a month ago, has had its first casualty.
Ashiesh Roy is no more doing the show. Precisely put, today
is the last day he's shooting for it.
Ashiesh
Roy: No hard feelings!
|
Ashiesh
says that he is not happy with the way his role has shaped
up. "Deepshikha, Nirmal Pandey and I were narrated that
the show was based on the dance academy, and we were supposed
to be the three heads. What is happening is that it is turning
out to be a youth romance," he rues.
"I
signed Adaa to play a 50-year old man, Pinto Gonsalves,
because I thought that I would have a good scope to portray
my acting potential. It's not happening the way I had thought.I
spoke to Ken Ghosh. There are no hard feelings on both sides,"
he added.
Though
Ashiesh doesn't say it directly, his next few words let the
cat out of the bag. Seems, the actor is having second thoughts
about playing an elderly man.
"Plus,
there was one more reason why I took the decision of opting
out. Adaa is immediately followed by Prratima,
where I I play a young, maverick son-in-law (of Kirron Kher),"
Ashiesh quipped.
We called
Ken Ghosh for his side of the story. Ghosh had a different
story to tell, "Adaa was always goiing to be a
youth-oriented love story. Ashiesh is opting out because he
wants to move out of comedy; he wants to concentrate on serious
roles in television and films. We have a letter from him in
this regard. And
we respect that letter. Ashiesh's exit from Adaa, which
is being shot today will be as follows: A producer lands up
at the Dance academy to pick up an actor for a role in his
film. There is nervousness and tension all round, as aspirants
start biting their nails. Climax! The producer picks Pinto
Gonsalves!"
Not so
long ago, Ashiesh had opted out of another comedy Yes Boss.
The latest on this guy is that he has signed Vinta Nanda's
next film Soulmate At Any Rate which will be an all-out
entertaining love-story starring Koel Purie.
