Vow woes?

In the countless interviews that Abhijeet Sawant has given, he has promised many things but has forgotten some. In one such interview on a radio show, Abhijeet had promised to get his building painted on winning the Indian Idol. On asking him if he has implemented it, he sounded surprised. "Did I promise so?" Abhijeet, who has shifted residence to the western suburbs of Mumbai, misses his colony in Central Mumbai.

Generous judge

Anu Malik is the generous sort. He gave Indian Idol finalist Rahul Vaidya a break in Vashu Bhagnani's Shaadi No.1. He is now considering runner-up Amit Sana in his next venture. He has been missing Indian Idol. "Life has to move on," he quips. He hopes to be a part of the Indian Idol part 2.

Honeymoons with a difference!

TV stars don't mind cameras following them! Not even on their honeymoon. Recently actor Chetan Hasraj was on his honeymoon in Mauritius, who took along a cameraman with him. And now actor Varun Badola has followed suit. Varun and actress cum singer wife Rajeshwari Sachdev were invited by the Autralian Tourism Commission to spend a vacation on the Gold Coast and Sydney. It was their second honeymoon in four moths since they got married. "Our first one was at Garhwal, at Varun's homeland," blushes Raajeshwari. What's more! Their trip was recently covered by NDTV for their lifestyle show Raat Baaki. Varun's life has had some lows too. He lost his mobile phone on the sets of some show where he was shooting.

What's Surveen upto?

Surveen Chawla (Charu of Kahiin To Hoga) is in Coimbatore right now. We hear she is getting operated on for a cyst in her abdomen. We wish her speedy recovery as, back in Mumbai, not one but two shooting units need her in the frame. One, of course, is Kahiin to Hoga where she is having a good track with Chaityanya Choudhary (are the two going around, hmmm? The other is Kasautii...' where she plays Rishabh Bajaj's young daughter. But why far off Coimbatore, we wonder? Is it some shoot schedule there which kept her back for urgent medication? We hear she will be back on Thursday in Mumbai. Get well soon, Surveen!

Talkathon at Balaji!

Balaji House may have maintained a diffident silence on la affaire Smriti Iraani - Rekkha Modi, but a little bird tells us that the day the storm broke out with Rekkha's arrest, the Kapoors convened a five hour meeting, two hours of which were spent discussing the Modi issue. At the end of which, unit members were advised not to talk about it, even with one another. The Kapoor clan, we hear, even made it clear that its a personal issue, and that the family will not interfere in any way!

Currim goes rangeen!

Tanaaz Currim aka Jayshree bua of Sony's Ye Meri Life Hai, who found herself sidetracked in the serial, has moved on to greener pastures. Currim has signed a Tez Productions film titled Rangeen opposite Aditya Bal, nephew of Rohit Bal. Not bad! But Currim is still spitting fire, "This is not done. I was sidetracked for no rhyme or reason. I feel cheated."

Nanda ka bharosa!

We do not know whether this is a wise decision. Despite having tasted box-office failure with White Noise, Vinta Nanda has reposed faith in Koel Purie. It would be recalled that Koel was Vinta's third choice for White Noise after Tabu and Nandana Sen failed to happen. According to sources, Koel will play the lead role in Nanda's next venture too. The film has been tentatively titled Soulmate At Any Rate. It is an out-n-out entertaining love story. We hope Nanda does not have any problem in getting a producer this time.
