| Jeet
Upendra to be part of 'Ye Meri Life Hai'
Remember
the guy who shook his leg on the hugely popular number, Hawa Hawa, from the movie,
Don2? After a

year
long hiatus, Jeet Upendra is back with a bang in Sony's Ye Meri Life Hai. "Yes
I am back, I will play a lawyer in Ye
who will try to strategise Ronit's
(the lead chracter in Yeh...) revenge. It's an interesting character,"
says a visibly excited Jeet. Why
this long a wait, we ask, and he gives us a very candid answer --- "I was
very busy with my hotel business, but to be really frank, I wasn't getting good
roles! Moreover, I was more into Gujrati movies..," he says with the air
of a man who knows what he is doing. Jeet
admits that he hasn't watched any episode of Ye
but hopes to catch
some of it soon. He has been informed by the serial makers that the role will
be a long one and will have an impact on the main track. "It's
been a long time and I had butterflies in my stomach, but after sometime it was
okay," he says of his first face-off with the camera after a year. So
who's going to take care of the hotel now, we wonder --- "You have to get
the hang of it, and as you do you realize

that you just have
to set it up properly and the rest can be handled by others you employ. You don't
have to sit at the hotel all day. I have opened another hotel near the international
airport," says Jeet, who has managed to strike a perfect balance between
his two professions and the family that is so precious. So
what does his wife feel about his re-entry into tellydom --- "Oh she is very
excited when I called her up and said that I had got this offer. She said, 'You
must do it,' and I thought why not!" he says. However,
life was not all that rosy a couple of years back, when the couple had separated.
God seems to have given Jeet and Deepshikha a second chance at love --- and they
are making the most of it. "We made many mistakes, we fought and still fight,
but we make it a point to make up. At the end of the day one should be honest,
I have learnt that what is more important is that one should sincerely try!"
says this actor who has fallen and risen in love in quick succession! It's
a start for Jeet, and quite a start, we say! To be a part of one of the most popular
serials on the telly, despite being out of circulation for a year is no mean thing
--- lucky in love and lucky at work as well? |
