'I
gave up...!'
Replacement
is the buzz on Indian television. After a spate of recent
replacements, the latest to hit the television industry is
Sandeep Rajora being replaced in Star One's Hey
Yehi
To Hai Woh.
Sandeep
calls quits!

"The
track of the serial was not going anywhere. From comedy, the
track suddenly changed into a thriller. It became absolutely
chaotic," Sandeep says. "It was very repetitive.
What I did in episode 5, I was doing the same in episode 95.
All I did was cheating Raj," he adds.
When one
wonders if Sandeep didn't know what he is getting into, Sandeep
offers, "On Indian television scripts always come in
the last minute. Initially, I was okay with playing a negative
role on an experimental basis. I enjoyed doing it. But then,
it became stagnant."

Sandeep
was disheartened as things did not shape up the way it was
promised. "Tracks change every two months. When I conveyed
this to the production house, I was told my character will
be projected better. I waited for it to happen. But eventually
I gave up," says the visibly irritated Sandeep.
So who
called quits? "It was mutual. Sanjay Wadhwan, producer
of the show and I decided that it was time to part ways. It
was best for me," he says.
Sandeep
was not happy with his role in Hey
yehi to hai woh.
He reminisces about his old days and says he misses Siddharth,
the character he played in Kkusum. "I enjoyed
playing the character of Siddharth. That role was real and
gave me a chance to perform."
Sanjay offers, "there were no issues between us. Sandeep
could give us dates in piece meal. Since he is one of the
main characters, we wanted dates in bulk".
Sandeep
is very positive about life. "Life is very busy with
Kareena Kareena. I work 15 -20 shifts a month. But
I am willing to do serials. I am waiting for the right things
to happen," he says.
