She runs a holistic
health centre called Ishtar. "Ishtar means mother goddess of healing. Ishtar
is also known as Venus or angel. It has the characteristics of a mother. It stands
for care and protection," explains Kaajal. Kaajal
has a degree in naturopathy. However, she didn't practice naturopathy and was
involved in designing garments. "Clothes are second skin. Colours interest
me. I used to play around with colours while designing garments. Then I did a
two year study in colours. It made me realise the effects of colour on a person's
mind and body. I started using colour therapy to help people lead happy lives,"
she says. Soon the word spread and Kaajal started counselling people
from television. "I call people who come to me for guidance as Ishtar torch
bearers. The term client or customer sounds cold," she says. At
her boutique Second Skin, she advises brides and grooms on what colour outfit
to wear for the D-day. "It will help them avoid nervousness," she informs.

Kaajal loves to
read books. "I have read a lot of motivational books. Osho and Krishnamurthy
are my favourites. I have a small library in my office. I provide books to people
from my library, she adds. She
then took up tarot card reading and supplemented it with graphology (handwriting
and signature analysis). Kaajal uses graphology to help her corporate clients
or torch bearers in recruitment of candidates. "Colour
therapy, graphology, and tarot reading etc are interrelated to each other. Because,
all are a part of nature. Writing is an expression of the subconscious mind. The
way one writes or crosses their t's says a lot. It has a connection with inner
mind and science," she says. Kaajal
can heal people through reiki, crystals. She also suggests diets. "At Ishtar,
I have people who can offer guidance on healing through music, numerology, astrology,
feng shui, magnet therapy, acupressure, I-Ching, acupuncture, ayurveda and aromatherapy,"
she adds. This
