MUMBAI: The leading over-the-top (OTT) platform Hotstar has appointed Ankit Desai as vice president- digital sales strategy. Earlier, Desai was associated with Marico Ltd at the position of media and digital marketing head, India & Global Centre of Excellence.

Desai had a stint of eight years in Marico Ltd where he started from the position of media manager. The professional with 16 years of experience also worked with Dainik Jagran, GroupM, NDTV.

At the beginning of his career, Desai worked with Dainik Jagran as ad sales executive. Later, he joined GroupM- MindShare Fulcrum as media planner. He worked with NDTV focusing on marketing, communication and brand management for Imagine TV from 2007 to 2011.
