MUMBAI: The channel brings a mix of grit, drama and humour with the premiere of much-awaited series ‘Queen of the South’ on July 18 followed by ‘Ballers’ Season 2 and ‘Vice-Principals’ on 19th July!

The channel is now back with its latest offering as it premieres three new exciting shows starting with a mobster drama about the rise of a female drug lord in ‘Queen of The South’ on July 18th at 10:00 PM. This will be followed by Season 2 of comedy drama ‘Ballers’ set in world of sports on July 19th at 10:00 PM and then an entertaining HBO comedy that trails the life of 2 high school vice principals competing for power in ‘Vice-Principals’ at 10:30 PM on the same day.

The much anticipated new TV drama 'Queen of the South' is based on the global best-selling novel "La Reina Del Sur", and tells the tale of Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga), a woman who is forced to run and seek refuge in America after her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico. Teresa then becomes a force to reckon with in her own right. Mendoza, is played by Brazilian actress Alice Braga, who is known for her roles in City of God and Lower City and has won multiple awards for her acting in both the US and Brazil. The series is sure to catch the attention of audiences who love tongue-in-cheek crime-mob dramas like The Godfather, Goodfellas or Scarface!

The Season 2 of comedy series ‘Ballers’ delves into the murky world of NFL and the myriad of emotions, drama and subterfuge that goes on in the underbelly of the most innocuous of sports. The fans of popular TV series ‘Entourage’ will enjoy this rollercoaster ride that traces the lives of various individuals in the sports industry who are at different junctures in their lives. The show also has stellar cast with Hollywood superstar, actor, wrestler and philanthropist Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), who has starred in blockbusters like The Scorpion King, Fast and Furious 6 and Hercules as Spencer Strasmore and Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine) as Joe Krutel. The sheer comic talent packed into the show with the versatile actors and dynamic storyline makes this show a must watch.

‘Vice Principals’, the latest offering from HBO, has all the right ingredients to have the Indian Audience in splits. Set against a backdrop of a high school, the show delves into the tussle of two rather colorful vice-principals in their fight for supremacy. This hilarious show pits Neal Gamby played by Mcbide against Lee Russel (Walter Goggins), as they seek to one-up each other, with the ultimate prize of becoming the top dog at Lincoln High. We witness their outrageous attempt to prove their worth and sabotage the other at the same time as the race heats up. This satiric comedy is sure to incite belly laughter from all its viewers. The show features some of the most versatile comic actors in Danny Mcbride, who starred in Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder, Your Highness and This Is the End, Walter Goggins of The Hateful Eight, Django Unchained, Machete Kills and Predators fame alongside the talented Georgia King, who are set to set the stage on fire with their antics and rip roaring one liners. Furthermore, comical legends Bill Murray and Will Ferrell have cameos on the show.
