Total TV upgrades from 2D to 3D with Wasp'3D's Real-time 3D Graphics

MUMBAI: Total TV, the recently launched regional news channel covering Delhi, Noida and suburbs has chosen Beehive's real-time 3D graphics solution, Wasp'3D.

The channel needed to upgrade from 2D to 3D so as to improve the look and feel and be able to compete with the national channels and the assignment was bagged by Beehive Systems. The various core tasks that Wasp'3D can perform include, real-time 3D graphics, virtual set, digital video effects, 3D compositing, chroma keying and channel branding, states an official release.

Beehive has completed implementation and training and the channel is now on-air with Wasp'3D graphics. Pleased with the impact of Wasp'3D graphics, Total TV creative head Anant Sudhakar said, "We had to make sure that the content we dole out should be very high standard. And for quality content one needs great graphics, classy look and feel and variety. In Wasp'3D, we have found a real-time 3D graphics system exactly fitting our needs - technically advanced real-time 3D system, ability to create 3D graphics with ease and flexibility to perform multiple tasks, including, virtual sets, channel branding and more. Total TV will also benefit from Wasp'3D's unique Programmable Palette (PGP) Technology which will provide the channel's designers the flexibility and power to create infinite materials and textures by mixing and blending four texture types with each other in a variety of ways, adds the release.
