BANGALORE: Nvidia Corporation, the global player in programmable
graphics processor technologies, has announced the opening of its
design centre in Pune, India. The new facility marks Nvidia's continuing
expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Pune facility will be equipped as a state-of-the-art data centre
allowing the design of technologies for a wide range of products
and platforms, informs an official release.
Since its founding, Nvidia has invested over $1 billion into research
and development. As it expands into new product areas, including
handheld graphics processors for mobile phones, the company intends
to broaden its research and development investment on a worldwide
basis, the release adds.
