The latest offering "Consignment Tracking Solutions" will provide Real-time visibility of consignments to the entire value chain of Consignor, Consignee, Logistics Service Provider (LSP) and fleet owners by integrating their ERP/ back-end with the information available on the trako server. In addition to this, CTS will provide updates on Vehicle and Consignment tracking, schedule adherence and exception reports on location, time and consignment.

"Market research indicates high potential for improvement of fleet efficiencies through the use of Vehicle Telematics System (VTS). VTS essentially enables Tracking the location of vehicles and consignments, Collating and recording information such as unscheduled stops, off-route movement and over speeding Tracking of technical data, which includes fuel level and battery charging voltage etc. This information is relayed back to the control room and can be accessed through various applications such as live on the computer screens via the Internet, through SMS on mobile phones, or through periodic reports via e-mail. VTS also serves as an alert mechanism by detecting accidents through the 2-way communication it maintains with each driver and assists in ensuring early paramedical aid in an event of a mishap.

TMT already has provided 4000 online systems and 2000 offline units to 70 customers in India. Gupta is confident of covering another 40,000 vehicles in 2006-07.
