| BANGALORE: Netgear Technologies India Pvt. Ltd., a
subsidiary of the $535 million Netgear Inc. of the US, has decided
to spruce up its presence in the country. It is planning to unveil
a number of India specific products targeting at the domestic customers
in the next few months, while expansion of manpower and marketing
is in the pipeline.
Netgear has its products grouped into three major segments: Ethernet
Networking, Broadband, and Wireless Networking, which include switches,
adapters, and secure wired and wireless routers and gateways.
Netgear VP (Asia Pacific Sales) Ian McLean said: "Recognizing
the strength and potential of India, we are putting greater resources
in the Indian market. Aiming at strengthening our presence among
the home and medium enterprise market, a couple of new products
like Range Max 240 Wireless Products and Netgear Smart Stackable
Switches could hit the market in the next few months."
"In the last two years, we have successfully added a number
of clients in India. Having recognized in India as the third largest
selling brand in wireless segment in a span of 18 months, we are
gearing up for investing in manpower and in developing India specific
products," he added.
