| MUMBAI: California based SRS Labs which provides audio technology
solutions has announced that the new SRS Wow HD audio enhancement technology for
televisions and consumer electronics products will debut at the International
Consumer Electronics Show (CES) from 5-8 January 2006 at the Las Vegas Convention
Center. SRS WOW HD provides consumers, for the first time, the ability
to adjust the mix of the phantom center image relative to the background audio.
Consumers can now easily position the dialog and vocals to their taste and playback
environment. It also features high definition audio enhancement for added clarity
of high frequency content along with advanced bass processing for superior low
frequency sound quality. SRS Labs will be demonstrating WOW HD on Analogue Devices'
SigmaDSP audio processors at CES. The company says that today's consumer
electronics products present a variety of challenging design environments, requiring
the highest degree of audio excellence within an efficient and fully programmable
audio core. ADI's SigmaDSP family of audio processors used with SRS WOW HD gives
consumer electronics manufacturers all of the advanced audio features they want,
while ADI's SigmaStudio programming environment provides more flexibility in design
than has been previously available." SRS Labs adds that it continually
hears from consumers that dialog and other key audio elements get buried or muddy
while they are watching TV or movies. Wow HD enabled TVs and set top boxes allow
consumers to mix the sound and overcome these issues. SRS WOW HD solutions are
available for televisions, set top boxes, DVD recorders, and digital media players
from SRS Labs platform partners. SRS Labs works towards advancing audio
and voice technology. The company works with manufacturers to provide a richer
entertainment experience through patented sound techniques. SRS Labs' technologies
can be heard through products ranging from televisions, LCD and plasma monitors,
cell phones, MP3 players, car audio systems, and notebook and desktop computers.
The company also offers hardware and software tools to professionals and consumers
for the creation, production and broadcast of content featuring SRS Labs' technologies. |
