Sharp India has launched a new range of AF3 AQUOS PAL-Optimal Panel Televisions. The Sharp AQUOS LCD Panels series include models LC 26AF3M, LC 32F3M and LC 37AF3M.

The panels of the new AF 3 series Televisions are configured with almost the same number of dots as standard PAL broadcast in India, which enables reproduction of the original picture as it is, with no compensation or elimination of signal.

Phase Alternation by Line (Pal) is a TV broadcast system that transmits programs as 625 scanning lines. Out of 625, 576 lines are actually used for TV pictures. Common TVs cut six per cent of these lines as they may cause noise and shifts. However, Sharp says that it has developed Pal-Optimal Panel where 540 scanning lines are reproduced on the display equaling 540 vertical dots allowing the original TV picture being reproduced without reduction, ensuring crystal clear pictures.

Sharp india VP marketing Prasun Banerjee says, “The new Sharp AF3 series AQUOS PAL-Optimal Panels makes watching television a pleasure everyday.”

The Sharp new range comes with features such as Advanced Optical Picture Control (OPC), which senses the surrounding light and automatically adjusts the back light brightness. This not only enables reproduction of images that are comfortable on the eye but also reduces power consumption by 30 to 50 per cent. It has a low reflection Black TFT Panel, which erases reflection to reduce mirror effects, resulting in a better reflection ratio of 1.5 per cent for comfortable TV watching.

Additionally, its 3D Y/C Comb Filter provides for enhanced colour clarity and reduction of colour interference and dot crawl, making the TV image crystal clear. Its Quick Shoot Technology results in a faster response speed, which ensures a clear, bold picture even during fast moving scenes. Sharp’s unique Super High Aperture rate Technology expands picture area by utilizing special resin as insulation, which results in optimum luminance.

The new AQUOS AF 3 PAL-Optimal Panel television sets have specifications such as 1.55 million pixels, 450 cd/ sq m of Luminance and a high contrast ratio of 800:1 for a superior TV watching experience. Moreover, consumers can enjoy beautiful images during the long life of these televisions, which is about 60,000 hours.

Banerjee adds, “This range is also Ecologically Friendly as it uses recycled plastic and paper, cardboard/ pulp mould, lead free solder and non-halogen flame retardant material.”

These televisions come with a stylish contemporary design, thin profile and ultra wide viewing angle as well as a tilt and swivel stand, which ensures easy setting-up and an optimal viewing position.
