| BANGALORE: Data projector major Epson has announced
the launch of the ultra light and portable EMP-765 and EMP-760 projectors.
These new 3LCD projectors deliver up to 2500 ANSI lumens of brightness,
providing quality performance in various types of environments.
The EMP-765 and EMP-760 are available at S$3,999 / S$3,679 now
from authorized Epson dealers. (EMP-760 at Rs. 1,60,000 and EMP-765
at Rs. 1,80,000 are available in India at authorized dealers), stated
an official release.
"Multimedia presentations are a way of life in today's modern
business and recreational environment. The EMP-760 and EMP-765 do
not only offer users portability, but also provide rich functionality,"
said Epson India GM-business products N Sambamoorthy said. "With
image clarity and brightness levels in a class of its own, the EMP-760
and EMP-765 empower the discerning presenter. Business professionals
will always be prepared with the necessary equipment to make a statement,
wherever the place, whatever the situation", he added.
Among the key features of the EMP-765 is its wireless technology.
Highly developed and based on IEEE 802.11b/g WiFi technology for
projectors, the EMP-765 enables the uploading or running of presentations
wirelessly. As an added security function, the wireless connectivity
features an "Interrupt Disable" that prevents other wireless
devices in the vicinity from hijacking the projector, as well as
a "Presentation Mode" function that allows for transiting
and modifying presentations professionally and securely, the release
added.
The USB terminal and PC Card slot allow for presentations to be
done without a PC. This eliminates the fuss of connecting cables,
thereby liberating the source PC beyond the immediate area of the
projector. The EMP-765 also comes with a built-in MPEG decoder for
playing MPEG 2 movies, making it one of the first in the industry
for PC-less presentations. It also works with Mac OS X 10.3, which
allows wireless compatibility with Apple's Keynote presentation
software.
The EMP-765 offers network functionality with both wired and wireless
LAN connections.
Powered by Epson Twin Optimize Reflection Lamp technology (E-TORL),
the EMP-765 and EMP-760 are packed with 2,500 ANSI lumens of brightness
in a 1.8 and 1.7kg device respectively. Images are projected as
beautifully as they come without interfering and annoying colour
break-ups or distortions. Epson's 3LCD-projector technology offers
flawless video playback that does justice to the quality of work
put in, claims the release.
