Systems' media processing and streaming technology will be showcased by its customers
and partners in the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las
Vegas, U.S.A., 5 to 8 January. Ittiam is pleased to have its technology
integrated into some of the most exciting products at the upcoming CES,
said Ittiam Systems, chairman and CEO, Srini Rajam. We are creating the
right mix of platforms with front-running media processing, distribution and digital
rights management (DRM) offerings that allow our customers to build next generation
applications in reduced time. Ittiams customers will feature
several new consumer products powered by Ittiam digital media technology. These
include H.264 based triple play IP STB from Leadtek Research Incorporated, T600
portable media player by Maxian and PMR-T21 pocket media recorder by Ya Hsin Industrial
Company. Ittiam will also showcase its multimedia reference designs with
strategic partners. This includes: A next generation IP video phone with
high quality H.264 based multi-way video conferencing at CIF resolution and 30
frames per second all harnessed through optimal implementation on a single
TMS320DM642 digital signal processor (DSP) based digital media processor
from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI). WiFi enabled network media player
with Microsoft Windows Media DRM (WMDRM10-ND) and internet radio support. Utilizing
TMS320DM320 DSP based digital media processor from TI this form-factor reference
design will feature multi-format video/audio streaming and playback with UPnP
compliant content discovery and AV control. TMS320DM320 device based portable
media player/recorder with DivX DRM featuring Ittiams certified media processing
components and advanced audio-video post-processing. Ittiams strong presence
in CES 2006 underlines the companys success in translating latest technologies
to high performance and high quality solutions for its customers and eventually
