Speedera Networks, global provider of distributed
application hosting and content delivery services, has announced the
opening of full-scale operations in Bangalore.
The Bangalore office will be providing the full range of corporate
functions for the company's growing list of Global 2000 customers.
The Indian expansion is also meant to drive its accelerated global
expansion strategy.
With revenues that grew 60 per cent in the company's most recent fiscal
year ended 30 June, the company is seeking additional talent to fuel
its white-hot growth and to ensure greater penetration of markets
worldwide, informs an official release.
Even before launching Speedera India, the company had already deployed
a significant network infrastructure in India beginning in 2000.
Moreover, the company since its inception had also established a
gold-medal roster of well-known Indian brands for its distributed
application hosting and content delivery solutions. In fact, Speedera
used this base of India clients to prove its business model and
to launch the company on a growth path that resulted in 15 consecutive
quarters of rising revenues. These Indian clients included enterprises
such as the Times of India, Rediff, NDTV, Sify, Wipro, Wisden Cricinfo,
and Fabmall, adds the official communiqué.
"This is an exhilarating moment for Speedera as the India operations
are now up and running, and include a full range of corporate functions
- sales, marketing, finance, technical support, research and development,"
said Speedera Networks president and CEO Ajit Gupta. "India
represents far more than a source of revenue for Speedera, however,
as Speedera India will be as significant to us as our current U.S.
headquarters operations, helping to drive every facet of the business
for the benefit of our customers worldwide," he added.
Speedera's distributed computing solutions address the full range
of reliability, performance, scalability, and security challenges
across the entire lifecycle of a website. Speedera's comprehensive
SpeedSuite family of services provides virtually unlimited capacity
on demand for any web property, allowing an organisation to optimise
its web presence and enhance the quality of the end-user website
experience while slashing site infrastructure costs. The opening
of the India office reflects the escalating demand for Speedera's
hosted solutions not only in Asia but around the globe, according
to company officials, informs the release.
