Panamsat's Galaxy Gateway provides connectivity solution for broadcasters

Panamsat has launched Galaxy Gateway. This is a global platform for the delivery of international full-time television and video programming to its Galaxy cable fleet.

Leveraging the power of Panamsat’s hybrid satellite and fiber network, broadcasters will be able to transmit content to more than 9,500 cable systems in the US from locations around the globe.

Broadcasters who utilise the Galaxy Gateway have access to Panamsat’s global hybrid network comprised of 24 satellites, 22,000 miles of video fibre and 34 POPs in Asia, Europe, Australia and North America. With established relationships between Panamsat and international service providers, Galaxy Gateway is a seamless, end-to-end delivery service to the Galaxy cable neighborhood including the pre-eminent HD neighborhood in the Americas.

Panamsat’s wholly owned Napa Valley and Atlanta teleports as well as its partnerships with teleports around the world provide programmers with access to cost-effective contribution services on the company’s multi-channel per carrier (MCPC) platforms.
