The Samsung Turbo Upgrade offers for colour monitors and the Samsung Smart Xchange offer for Printers, both these offers are to upgrade consumers with their existing PC components/printers by giving them a strong value proposition,confirms a press release.

As part of the first offer, Samsung gives a great value to the consumer to bring in their old 15" PC monitor, CDROM and 10 /20 GB hard disc drive and upgrade to a 17" Samsung magic bright PC monitor, CDRW and an 80GB/7200 RPM HDD for just Rs.11, 999/-.

Alternatively, a consumer can go in for a 17" PC monitor, CDRW, 80GB/7200RPM HDD configuration for just Rs.9, 499/-, thereby enabling consumers to avail discounts of up-to 40 per cent on the normal market prices of these components. Valid between 5 May to 15 June 2004, this offer will run exclusively through over 1000 selected and trained PC assemblers of Samsung nationally.

Announcing the offer, Samsung India IT product sales vice president Vivek Prakash said, "The growing and fast changing PC usage in the country and the installed base of 3 years old PCs, estimated at 5 million users, offer an exciting opportunity for us to tap by way of our latest technology offerings. Most of these older PCs, lets say PCs, which are 3 years old, have 15" Monitors, less than 10GB HDDs and 48X or less CDROM Drives. Since these are not the components for an ideal multimedia PC experience, there is a definite consumer need of upgrading the PC to the latest technologies available like 17" monitors, 40GB 7200rpm HDDs and 3- in-1 COMBO Drives (Drives which can play CDs/ DVDs and Write CDs). The Turbo Upgrade offer allows a consumer to not only upgrade his current configuration but also provides reasonable value to the Indian consumer for his/her past investment."

Along with Turbo Upgrade offer, Samsung India also announced the launch of the Samsung Smart Xchange offer for laser printers. This offer is an upgrade and exchange offer applicable on all Samsung laser printers. As part of this offer, a consumer can exchange his/her old working inkjet / dot matrix or laser printer for the Samsung laser printer of his choice, at a discount of upto Rs.3500, says the release.
