Zoran Corporation has announced that Digital TV Industry Alliance
of China's (DTVIA) conditional access system (Chinacrypt) has completed
certification of ChinaCrypt conditional access on Zoran's SupraTV
processor. The certification was completed through active cooperation
with the DTVIA.
Zoran will demonstrate its Chinacrypt certified decryption technology
at the China Cable Broadcasting Network 2004 (CCBN) in Beijing The
event takes place from 23-25 March. Zoran is currently working with
Chinese manufacturers to develop Chinacrypt-enabled set-top boxes
based on the SupraTV processor.

by DTVIA is one of the most widely deployed conditional access systems
for cable television in China. It is currently used in over 25 Chinese
provinces or cities. IMS Research estimates that the Asia Pacific
market for digital set top boxes will be 14.6 million units in 2004,

definition digital television products positions Zoran to become
a strategic supplier for the China digital television market. The
California based Zoran provides digital solutions-on-a-chip for
applications in the growing consumer electronics markets.
