Pathfire which provides digital content distribution and management solutions for the broadcast industry has announced an agreement with Nextpert News Network. This is a media resource on what's next in lifestyle trends and innovations.

As per the deal Pathfire will distribute Nextpert's content directly to newsroom desktops in broadcast facilities throughout the US. Using Pathfire's Digital Media Gateway (DMG) technology, Nextpert is delivering among other content their signature Next Two Minutes segments, trends reports and entertainment feeds.

Pathfire's DMG, an automated IP multicast distribution platform distributes and manages content to over 1100 broadcast stations in the US andCanada. Through Pathfire's DMG desktop application, producers and editors easily search and access Nextpert's content in a single, safe location.

Pathfire's upcoming release of the DMG 3.0 application includes a Video News Feed (VNF) locator. This allows users to view and search among all VNFs in a single location and an auto list feature that automatically creates a media kist of related incoming stories based on keyword filters that the user sets. Users can also set an audio notification to alert them when a related story arrives.
