N2 Broadband which provides scalable, open-standard solutions for on-demand services has unveiled an international distribution agreement with Tandberg Television. Tandberg provides professional video compression and TV delivery systems.

Tandberg Television will distribute N2 Broadband's OpenStream platform to cable TV customers in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and other international markets. N2 Broadband claims that OpenStream is the industry's only complete, open
digital services platform that enables cable operators to quickly and confidently offer on-demand services such as video-on-demand (VOD).

OpenStream has been widely deployed in the US cable market since its introduction two years ago. The platform currently delivers VOD
streams to more than 50 markets reaching over 15 million digital subscribers. Time Warner Cable and Adelphia have already announced large scale deployments of the OpenStream platform.

In addition to the OpenStream platform, Tandberg and N2 will collaborate to bring other N2 solutions to international markets. N2 Broadband provides a suite of standards-based solutions for the secure management and delivery of on-demand content.
The company claims that its MediaPath content delivery system and MediaPoint asset management system are the respective market leaders with more than 700 North American deployments. Customers deploying these solutions include Comcast, Cox and HBO.
