Emmy award winner TM Systems has relocated its Miami headquarters
to Los Angeles. The company claims to have developed the industry's
only fully integrated, non-linear, language translation, dubbing
and subtitling system.
The company has stated that winning the Emmy provided further validation
that the TM methodology provides the most streamlined solution to
language customisation available today. So the company wanted to
be based more closely to the numerous studios and networks who could
best benefit from its technology.
An official release informs that the company's software for language
translation, dubbing, subtitling and closed captioning, works to
and from any language, with any character set. It also reduces overall
time and costs by more than 40 per cent in every application. In
addition it eliminates the need for video and videotape by utilising
a familiar non-linear format with any PC or Internet service. The
software automatically inserts time codes and character names andoffers
the ability to create a template that assures consistency among
languages and between dubbed and subtitled versions. It also does
away with videotape duplication and shipping costs, customs delays.
