Eurosport, Visiware's interactive TV service for the Olympics

Partners since 2000, on the development of interactive applications for television, Eurosport International and Visiware have announced the launch of a new interactive service. This is available on the satellite package offered by Greece's only digital television platform Nova.

The service aims to offer a valuable addition to the Eurosport channel. The Olympic service is available for all Nova package subscribers on channel 22. Being simple and fluid, this innovative service appears super-imposed on the channel image, allowing constant live viewing of the Olympic Games.

By pressing the OK button on the remote control, the viewer can access the service. A continual flow of information through a ticker offers a summary of the days events. By pressing the OK button again, the viewer accesses even more detailed information.

They are:

- A header "News" offers articles on the main talking points of the games.

- The header "Medals Board" indicates the country rankings in medals.

- Finally, the header "Guide" gives access to Eurosport's programme guide each day.

Visiware publishes and markets the leading interactive game channel Playin'TV. It is broadcast on Echostar (US), Bell Express VU (Canada), DirecTV GLA (Latin America), Sky Digital, Go Play TV, Channel 4 (United Kingdom), among other territories.

The Eurosport Group claims to be the leading multimedia platform in Europe with Eurosport, eurosport.com and Eurosport news. Eurosport is available in 19 languages and reaches 98 million homes and 240 million viewers across 54 countries.
