ClickSoftware Technologies, which provides workforce and service optimisation solutions, has announced that it has entered into a contract for the use of its service optimisation suite with British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB).

BSkyB operates UK's digital television service, Sky digital, reaching 7.3 million customers across the UK and Ireland. BSkyB will implement ClickForecast, ClickPlan, ClickSchedule and ClickAnalyse for an end-to-end decision support solution for the activities of its internal field engineers and to its outsourced business partners.

BSkyB is looking to set a new standard in customer service levels that can quickly adjust as its business changes. It is also looking to exceed the ever increasing expectations of the customers. The aim is to achieve the target of eight million subscribers by the end of next year.

BSkyB will utilise ClickSoftware's service optimisation suite to make better-informed decisions throughout their entire service process. Through the use of reliable customer demand forecasting and workforce capacity planning, ClickForecast and ClickPlan will help BSkyB ensure the right size and skill mix of their field service operation several weeks and months prior to the day of service.
