STP Texsa brings acoustic insulation product Tecsound to India

STP Texsa Ltd - a joint venture of STP Ltd, which deals in waterproofing technology and Texsa SA, an ISO 9001 company with its plant in Barcelona, Spain - has introduced Tecsound, an acoustic insulation product in India.

Tecsound is a polymer-based, asphalt-free, high-density synthetic soundproofing membrane, which offers excellent acoustic insulation in different building structures, claims STP Texsa.

Tecsound is effectively and extensively used worldwide for soundproofing against airborne noise in vertical walls and ceilings. It reduces impact noise level in all types of floors, metal decks and applications in the industrial and recreational field. This product can be used in movie theatres, sports complexes, machine and acoustic enclosures, discos, bars, restaurants, hotels, shopping centers and airports.

STP Texas states, Tecsound is ISO 9001 and NBE-CA-88 approved. The product has high acoustic insulation, combined with porous, non-rigid elements; it is flexible, has great elongation capacity; is easy to handle and adaptable to uneven surfaces, is cold and heat resistant, self-extinguishing and ageing resistant. The company release says it is rotproof too.

Tecsound is available in various densities and thickness like: Tecsound 35 with a weight of 3.5 kg/sqm, Tecsound 50 with a weight of 5.0 kgs/sqm, Tecsound 70 with a weight of 7.0 kgs/sqm and Tecsound 100 with a weight of 10 kg/sqm. The company says, Tecsound 50 and Tecsound 100 are available regularly while the other versions can be supplied with a lead time of six to eight weeks.

Tecsound is generally applied between partition walls , gypsum boards, anutone boards and aerocon panels. Basically, Tecsound needs to be applied over a hard substrate.
