LOUISVILLE: Broadband industrys premiere technology showcase
CableNET, has announced its list of about 45 broadband demonstrations
in this years exhibit, including 14 in its interactive centerpiece.
The exhibit is part of The Western Show at the Anaheim Convention
Center, Colorado, between 2 and 5 December. A company release states
that among the demonstrations at The Western Show, are more than
a dozen exhibits of interactive technology, including an end-to-end
display of OpenCable Application Platform (OCAP) technology from
Advanced Digital Broadcast, Inc.
Other highlights include a whole house video and multimedia distribution
system from Entropic Communications and a PacketCable-qualified
call management server from Syndeo Corp. In addition, Go2BroadbandSM,
in conjunction with the Cable and Telecommunications Association
for Marketing (CTAM), will be demonstrating the consumer website
used to support the cable industrys latest service offerings.
The theme of this years original CableNET exhibit is Imagine
That, and it will include displays of true broadband services and
examples of how the evolving broadband technology has expanded to
include more business-to-business solutions that keep cable services
innovative and competitive, the release states. The entire CableNET
'03 exhibit will cover about 10,000 square feet on the Anaheim Convention
Center show floor.
CableLabs president and CEO Dr Richard R Green was quoted in the
release as saying, This years CableNET continues our
tradition of having a powerful demonstration of cables broadband
might at The Western Show. We have worked hard to make this years
demonstration the best ever.
The CableNET exhibits have been co-sponsored by the California
Cable and Telecommunications Association (CCTA) and Cable Television
Laboratories as educational forums.
