Everstream which manufactures specialty systems for the video on demand industry, and Encoda Systems which claims to be the premier provider of traffic and billing systems for television, have announced that they have completed the integration of their applications to create the first complete solution for management of both standard and targeted advertising for cable operators who are deploying On-Demand TV services to millions of their customers.

The Everstream system, in conjunction with the Encoda Systems traffic and billing software, simplifies MSO operations by permitting a common interface and single entry point to automate the management of multiple advertising opportunities for digital TV.

Everstream's S4 system is working with Encoda's Novar Traffic Management and Billing System. This combination turns On-Demand TV advertising revenue into a reality. It means more revenue and therefore more content with less hassle and complexity.

Everstream's solutions give cable and satellite operators the capability to deliver one-to-one direct marketing through on-demand and interactive television services. These services include Interactive Program Guides (IPG), Personal Video Recorders (PVR), Video on Demand (VOD) and Walled Garden applications, which deliver specialised information and other programming to viewers on a one-to-one basis.

Encoda Systems' Novar system manages and automates the business of advertising for cable and broadcast television, and hybrid advertising operations. Inventory management, automated scheduling, a full accounts receivable system, and Internet access are just some of the features included in a Novar solution.

In the US, VOD technology will change the way idiot box buffs stay glued to the telly. As more and more content-from movies to weather, from local sports to national news-increasingly makes its way to On-Demand servers, cable companies will have to face multiple systems for multiple products. This complexity raises the cost of providing their customers with the viewing experience they demand. Now, through the new relationship relationship with Encoda Systems, cable companies will find providing viewer choice coordinated with advertising revenue to be a simplified and convenient process.
