Ensequence, a leading developer of interactive television solutions, has announced that the British Broadcasting Corporation, a leading producer of ITV content, has licensed its suite of on-Q Authoring products as a development solution for its interactive programming.

The on-Q Authoring Suite, which consists of on-Q Studio and on-Q Simulator, allows creative professionals to create high-quality ITV applications in a fraction of the time taken today. Together, they surmount the key hurdles that have until now blocked widespread adoption of interactive television.

A complete package by itself, on-Q Studio generates applications that are independent of the set-top box or underlying middleware on which they will execute: on-Q Studio, on-Q Simulator and on-Q Client which form the basis of "Author Once, Distribute Everywhere" which is the Ensequence promise.

By allowing video professionals to prototype, design and test creative possibilities, the on-Q Authoring Suite frees the ITV application authouring process from archaic software programming practices, schedules, costs, and delays.
