Nokia has announced the release of its Mediamaster 310 products which it claims broaden the television experience with interactive services and access to more television.

The Nokia Mediamaster 310 products are Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) enabled digital television receivers for satellite and terrestrial television and radio channels. With the Nokia Mediamaster 310 products, viewers can start enjoying the growing variety of interactive MHP services, such as SuperTeletext, banking and other entertaining and information services as provided by their local broadcasters.

An official release informs that in addition to providing access to all unencrypted satellite or terrestrial television and radio channels, the Nokia Mediamaster 310 products also support subscriptions to encrypted or Pay TV channels with a common interface slot and embedded Conax conditional access system.

The company has stated that by combining access to valuable, interactive MHP services with the high picture and audio quality of digital television; and a wide range of digital television programming, the Mediamaster 310 is ideal for viewers who want more from their television viewing experience.

On-screen Nokia Navi Bars user menu with an electronic programme guide (EPG) and rapid navigation between TV and MHP applications make the Nokia Mediamaster 310 products easy-to-use.

To make using MHP service easy and convenient, the unique Nokia Navibars user interface automatically creates a special folder with bookmarks listing the available and detected MHP applications. Consumers can also create up to eight personal favourite lists from a memory of hundreds of channels. The Nokia Mediamaster 310 products also feature family-friendly games such as Snake, Tracktor and Opposite.

The Nokia Mediamaster 310 products support Dolby Digital (Bitstream Out) and the wide-screen format. Nokia claims to be the world leader in mobile communications. Backed by its experience, innovation, user-friendliness and secure solutions, the company claims to have become the leading supplier of mobile phones and a leading supplier of mobile, fixed and IP networks.

By adding mobility to the Internet Nokia creates new opportunities for companies and further enriches the daily lives of people.
