HCL Infosystems launches Beanstalk Home Wonder series

HCL Frontline, the distribution arm of HCL Infosystems, India’s premier information enabling and integration company has announced the launch of the Beanstalk Home Wonder PC.

An official release informs that the unique feature of the PC is the “Media Wonder Card”, introduced for the first time in India. It will allow the user to utilise the PC as a home theater system, an intelligent TV, a DVD player, an ACD player or a MP3 player with all controls equipped in a single handy remote and can even become a complete gaming console. One can play, forward, rewind, pause and record television programmes, control the volume level, select language, control speed of fast forward and rewind with the highly sensitive remote. Like any multi-media product, this PC can be operated with a remote, without using the keyboard and mouse.

The release states that the biggest advantage that HCL Beanstalk enjoys over the competition is that it comes with the world’s best sound and display system. The all-new Altec Lansing system, the only one of its kind to come with five plus one speakers and sub woofers, offers digital Dolby surround sound effect. These speakers provide a deep bass surround sound, comparable to the best audio systems available in the market.

The other selling point of the new Beanstalk PC is the completely flat, high-resolution, anti-glare monitor range, with a unique space saving design available in of size 17” and above. The state-of the-art monitor displays a maximum resolution of 1280 X 1024 at 60Hz, is flicker free and guaranteed to be anti-static and anti-glare.

The Home Wonder PC is equipped with a Pentium IV 2.4 and 3 GHz processor and the Windows XP home operating software, the most advanced OS for PCs in the Home segment. In addition to its multi-media features, this HCL Beanstalk is bundled with a variety of work-related features such as the Microsoft Encarta encyclopedia, Classteacher, XP Plus etc. Another key feature of the Beanstalk range is that all the applications are operational in 11 Indian languages.
